Hacking Organic Traffic Through Reddit

THE ASYNC NEWSLETTER (edition 1)

Organic traffic… The dream of every founder.

Imagine, thousands of people rushing to your site without spending a single $.

Yeah it’s amazing, but extremely hard to master without having a huge online persona with 10,000+ followers.

But…

Reddit is a place where you CAN hack organic traffic. No money or followers needed.

Hacking Organic Traffic On Reddit

However, you must do it correctly.

If you’ve reddit before, you know this. It’s a harsh, harsh place. If you don’t exactly follow the right rules and regulations of each subreddit, you get absolutely torn apart…

So, here is how you utilize Reddit EFFECTIVELY.

The #1 Rule You Must Follow:

NEVER solely self promote on Reddit. 90% of your post should talk solely about fixing a problem, providing value, and giving genuine help. Only the last 10% should be self-promotion, and you must never do it in a SELLEY way. Sort of just…slide it in.

There’s two main ways to get eyes on your Reddit posts.

• First, through comments (my favorite way).

• Next, through posts.

To get traffic from commenting, you must target a problem that your product solves. For example, let’s say you own a SaaS that seamlessly integrates payment processors into people’s landing pages. First, you go to a subreddit where people are having problems connecting Stripe (just an example) to their landing page. You write about how they can fix their problem, and at the end give a link to your SaaS and how it is also a solution to their problem.

Every time someone goes to this reddit to find the problem, they will see YOUR solution. That means, they also see your SaaS, and eventually people will click on it. This means you are getting great traffic to your site with people who are ACTUALLY interested in your solution.

REAL WORLD EXAMPLE:

Look at this real example of this entrepreneur promoting his newsletter.

Someone asks how to make $1k a month on Reddit. For the first 5 paragraphs of his Reddit comment response, he gives them genuine value and advice on this question. Then, in the final paragraph he talks about HIS product, and how it can help this specific person.

This is a perfect example, because it gives value and ties in a small bit of self promotion at the end.

Wondering about the results?

This person got over 100 newsletter subscribers from this one comment…

Real World Example of this Reddit Hack

I hope this example showed you how to use Reddit CORRECTLY. Some people say Reddit is no longer valuable, but if you use it right you can hack organic traffic.
